Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Women's Health New

A Community Health Center in Los Angeles is currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their growing Women's Health team.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 8a - 5p

• EMR: ECW

Responsibilities:

• Administer immunizations and medications
• Assist the Doctors with examinations and other procedures relating to direct patient care
• Dressing wounds, catheterization & irrigation
• Administering EKGs and IV therapy
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records; enter data into the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring accurate and complete documentation of all procedures
• Instruct patients about procedures, preparation for tests or examinations, and self-care upon discharge
• Assist with patient flow including receiving/greeting patients; locating charts/electronic health records; ensuring all laboratory and other test results are in the chart and/or EHR; answering the telephone; and referring patients to appropriate person
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• A valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the State of California
• Working knowledge of direct patient care methods and practices in a Community Clinic setting, including prior experience

Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of OBGYN and/or Women's Health experiences in a Community Health setting
