Overview: *All positions are located in Fresno/Clovis CA* Community Medical Centers has been providing central California with the highest level of care available in the region. Community Regional Medical Center measures up with top hospitals nationally and is the 3rd largest in California! With 685 beds, we are home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California! We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants. Responsibilities: The Shift Scheduler is responsible for all aspects of employee scheduling for their assigned department/area, including preparing and maintaining schedules, handling schedule changes, and addressing scheduling gaps. This role works closely with the department leaders to develop effective schedules that align with operational requirements while ensuring compliance with labor regulations and organizational policies. Additionally, the Shift Scheduler reviews and validates timekeeping records, provides guidance on corrections, and assists with resolving timekeeping discrepancies. Accountabilities 1. Develops, prepares, and maintains employee schedules in alignment with operational needs and staffing guidelines.2. Adjusts schedules as needed based on employee availability, time-off requests, or operational demands.3. Forecasts staffing needs and identifies potential coverage gaps.4. Responds to and resolves scheduling issues, arranges coverage, or makes scheduling adjustments to maintain adequate staffing levels.5. Responds to employee inquiries or concerns regarding their schedules and time-off requests.6. Maintains accurate records of schedules, shift assignments, and staff availability.7. Monitors scheduling patterns and recommends adjustments to optimize efficiency and reduce overtime.8. Provides real-time updates to leaders and staff about schedule changes or urgent staffing needs.9. Assists department leadership with reviewing and maintaining timecards, ensuring accurate tracking of work hours and compliance with pay policies.10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Experience• 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting required• Prior scheduling or related experience preferred Disclaimers:
